Just saw Prometheus last night. Flamin' turd.  They didn't even have the ability to get the planet's designation right. They called it LV-223....

Your project looks awesome, and I am more impressed by it that I was the film!

Those cobalt figures are really neat, just ordered some  ::).I've looked at them before but never realized they came with those cool helmets! All this time I just thought they were wanna be GW space marines but the helmet makes them look totally different.

I think they said it was a moon of LV223. I didn't think it was a turd but it's definitely the kind of movie you look at and not the kind of movie you think too hard about. I'd say it's on the Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow level. Better than Clash of the Titans. Worse than Avengers. WAY worse than Alien. Still kind of neat to look at.

The part with the CNC 5-axis mill er I mean Asto-surgeon pod was genuinely stupid. I started out with a feeling of absolute dread but as the scene progressed it quickly became hard not to laugh.  Yeesh. What a mess.

Also I find it rather hard to believe that trained biologists will carlessly prod/poke unknown four foot long boa-constrictor like alien penis-worm/cobras while trapped in a dead facility on a hostile alien world.

Slight thread resurection.
I finally got the cobalt marines from Black Hat(not direct but from USA distirbutor)
Gotta say they are the coolest *not* space marines I've seen yet.If you don't use the helmets they are just cool looking marine wannnabes. But stick that helmet on and you have a totally different look to them almost Tau-like,almost retro 40k marine.
Couple of them had a lot of flash but the rest were pretty clean.
Size wise they are compatible with the GW marines although some of the very newest GW monsters are a bit bigger.

I forgot that one...

If only Ian could produce it with 8 wheels instead of six?

How about it Ian?

It's on the to-do list ....

 ;)

I did saw you might be able to do a cut and shut with a miscast marauder mate? Although to be honest that things perfectly usable with six.
