Just noticing that the lighting shines through the plasticard. Will paint be enough to stop that or is it always going to glow around the edges?

I reckon that all the gubbins he will sticking on will deal with that.

The panels that will get stuck on are from a light-tight material which should get rid of most of it and the paint will do the rest

This is fantastic scratch building in a scale I would never touch! Much to small for my Eyesight

I'm sure that Jim & Damas would never dream of buying something in scale, when they could make it out of little bits of plastic, but I've just noticed that Cosmos models now have both a YT-2000 and YT-2400 in 1/1000 scale.

I picked up three of each for convenience and they are nice little casts of a 3-D print but you could easily scratch something similar.  I was just lazy.
