Thank you gents  :)

Hitman, it is the Foundry one, done as a limited edition run I think. Just search here for F**king Massive John and you'll find his very own thread  ;)

The knights are from Crusader miniatures and paint up rather well although the normal foot troops are a bit lacking in dynamism.

Close ups later this week  :)

cheers

James

Stunning update, James!
FMJ is certainly eye-catching, but he has every right to be angry, bloody Norman scum bothering his lovely buildings like that.....

I don' think he sleeps..... ;)

You should be very grateful that have your very own scenery building insomniac!

Thanks chaps  :)

Another small update today as I've got the barn done, nearly finished a small stable/woodstore/whatever and made a start on the monastery  :)

I'll do some close ups for Steve later this week with some shots of the board (just for you matey).

Actually, the barn isn't finished as it needs a base  ::) bugger

Close up of the door

The small 'thing' still needs a simple roof to go on it and a bit of dirt on the inside

And the main hall of the monastery. This will eventually have cloisters, north, south and east wings and a small walled hero garden.

cheers

James

Looking great James!  This is going to be another huge as well as stunning collection.

The monastery is a great addition and I am frothing for you to start on the castle....

 :D

Oh and thanks that you'll be following up on the board images for me.  ;)

Just found this thread - fantastic buildings James; they look spot-on for medieval.
Amazing what you can do with the laser cut plastic for the framework - plus great modelling and painting skills to bring them to life.
Looking forward to seeing more.

Simon.

PS - am gathering info and thoughts re a medieval 'building' and will send you a PM soonest.

:o Very nice. I love your work. What material did you use for the monastery? And how did you cut/mold it?

Regards Za

Simon, I look forward to receiving it  :)

The monastery is laser cut from 6mm acrylic, mitred on the table saw and stuck together. I've got the roof roughed out as well now using the internal bracing as decorative wood work. You'll see what I mean when it gets posted.

cheers

James

Just lovely!

Why did you go for Acrylic! It is nit exactly the easiest material to work with.
