Did a big display/demo at Little Wars Melbourne on Sunday, borrowed minis from Benny and a couple of other clubmates to put this together:

Under a year, so technically not Threadomancy!

SOTR is gaining traction again, so I'm getting the last few units done for each army. That way, I can start on new units as soon as I get the new edition!

Latverian Mortar Team. Proved themselves 100% accurate and 100% deadly so far.

The mortar is very nice :-* :-*

Why is the commander wielding a cordless socket drill?  ;D

Cheers

Finished last night, British Para Mortar Team:

Needed them finished for this Saturday as we're playing a massive "Bridge too Far 1949" game. Keep an eye out of the photos next week.

Think I managed to get everything done for tomorrow. Vampire will provide air support for my British.

1/48 Kit of unknown origin. Not very accurate paintjob motivated by lack of time and handy paints.

Damn! I'm always seeing those 1/48 Vampires used in Weird War games, and after seeing yours painted like that, I really need to buy one  :o Great work.

That is one sexy airplane  ;D
I got the good fortune to see one up close and see it fly at an airshow. Really cool plane.

Thanks for the comments guys. The only problem is that the Vampire kind of locks me into building jets for my other factions as well... What a shame.  ;)

I went for a F-80 Shooting star for my Americans and this one for my Germans:

It's weird enough for my tastes and not the usual Me-262. What jets are you planning on using?  ???

I have a Horten Ho229A-1 in 1/48. A Gloster Meteor F-1, and a F-80 Shooting Star. There are some other 1/48 period jets I'd like to get. The Huckbien and Lippisch P13a (rare and expensive). A He 162A-2 Salamander and a Vampire Mk1. I know it isn't a jet, but I'm also thinking of getting an AD-6 Sky Raider for ground support. It would look awesome painted in dark blue flying over some weird war Marines!
