http://aliendungeon.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/announcing-fanticide.htmlHeres some of the blurb from the site
"Something different this way flaps!
What do flying monkeys, twisted fairy tales, hand grenades, and skin eating creeps have in common?
Apparently the same thing as a loose band of veteran games designers, Australian miniature makers, UK sculptors, fantastic fiction writers, great artists, and a crazy megalomaniac have: They all come together in Nowhere, the setting for Fanticide, a new and different kind of fantasy miniatures game coming very soon from Alien Dungeon. "
Only found out about this the other day and am really looking forward to it. It seams to be harking to the games I started playing as a kid in the late 80s. Particularly early Warhammer 3rd edition. Open ended army building and the prospect of putting together all sorts of weird combinations.
"Open Architecture and clear guidelines for building any kind of warband you want with figures you want to use…anything is possible in Nowhere!"
Theres not much information on the actual system its self at the moment. The game does away with the I go, you go turn system and replaces it with cards. Not generally a fan of introducing cards and other fancy whatnots into games, but I will wait and see what its like first before having the nerd rage.
Any game that has some of my favorite designers behind it is worth watching. Not to sure about Alessio Cavatore involvement though not a fan of his. He is the Marmite of games designers you either love his work or...........etc
