Nicely done!

Where are the metal parts from? And how many armoured torsos and legs are available in the plastic boxes for this kind of thing?

Is that the chap in the series who used to be Little John in the Eighties Robin Hood with Michael Praed?

cheers

James

I'm pretty sure he was playing Great Jon Umber.

Cracking project but when it comes to the forces of Bear Island it's all about the ladies! With Joer at the wall and Jorah overseas Maege and her daughters are Lords(Ladies?) of Bear island and they aren't afraid to fight. It'd be interesting to see a base featuring those hardy warrior women of the North but who am I to wishlist on someone else's project?

Great conversions with cracking paint jobs. Keep up the good work.

Aye!  Good point Soapy.  Not to influence things myself, but Hasslefree has a couple of Liberty/Libby variants that could be useful as a base, at least, and other warrior women besides.

I don't know exactly, i guess about 15 armoured ones.

Yes i'm planning the Mormont ladies for quite a while, but didn't found any useful miniatures for conversions. They should'nt look too much fantasy.

Yes he would be the perfect Tyrion.

Red Box has a couple that might work size and style-wise:
Katherine of Chalton
Greta the Pious

Great work on the billmen stand.  And wMills how well do those lady's scale  to the Perry and other plastics?

Red box games miniatures are simply awesome for this kind of project, any hint on the scale reference?

Great work on the billmen stand.  And wMills how well do those lady's scale  to the Perry and other plastics?

I wish I knew.  I don't yet have any historical plastics that might be applicable.  I do have some Ancient Greek plastics, and I can do a comparison for Greta and those next week when I get home.

They scale excellently with Alchemy figures, and all the Hasslefree stuff that I have.  Hopefully that will give you some idea.

~Eric

Edit:
I will probably be picking up some Perry War of the Roses plastics eventually to do a similar project to HvM's.  I am going to do skirmish games with them.  I am hoping to use RBG Aenglish and the Alchemy figures I have for some of the Northmen warbands.  RBG miniatures would work well, especially the Aenglish, and some of the Halfbloods.  Helsvakt might work for the tribes of the Vale.

Edit 2:
Also might work for the ladies of Bear Island:
Ylvfriodr of Ulfrstadt

Excellent and most inspiring work here. I appreciate it, as it's inspired me to take my own stuff up a notch! :)

I really appreciate the Wargames Factory Viking heads on those Perry miniatures. I can't believe how well they work together. That's great to see... Now I'm wondering if the Perry and WF Samurai would work together as well....

In any case, nice stuff.
