Cairo in the 1930s video
« on: May 06, 2012, 07:15:39 PM »
This is worth a view, if only to see that Cairo was quite advanced in the 1930s and many of your more modern buildings, lampposts and roads would work on it.  There is even a German film crew at the Sphinx, but what were they really filming?

'So do all who see such times. But that is not for us to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that we are given.'

Great video, these sort of things are really fantastic looks at the past!

However, modern buildings, wide roads, trams, looking clean and splotless - somehow it just dosen't seem pulpy enough for pulp Egypt!  lol

I can't help but agree! This research is great, thank you for showing us it Joroas, but I'm afriad that my cairo is going to be cramped, dirty and adobe filled... Steriotypical, and I make no apologies for it!

All though, who makes those laser cut apartments?

Cheers
Andy

Sarissa Precision make the buildings.

No reason why the back streets and villages can't look more adobe, but at least your Pulpy Gangland fights can take place in Chicago type surroundings and still be accurate.
