I have to admit, first time I've seen them I have tried with Aventine site and couldn't find them there as well. Only then I have understood they are convertions :)

What a lovely bunch, very well done  :-*

It’s always a good feeling to get finished the first considerable lot of a project, isn’t it? :)

Hi Prof, yes indeed, thanks.  The worse point for me on a project is the bit before the minis go on the bases, they never look much good until then.  These are now at the great point where the back of the work is broken, and from now on they are just going to get better.

I have bitten the bullet and ordered the parts I need for my Roman tenement idea, so, in due course, they will have somewhere to riot in front of!

Looking forward to seeing the tenement, any particular manufacturer being used?

Hi Poitier, I'm planning to scratchbuild, based on Connolly artwork, but using some Antenociti parts such as doors and small windows.  I'll make a 2 storey building with shops on the ground floor and an apartment in the middle.  If I'm happy with how it comes out, then I might try a taller building.

Cheers, Simon

Looking forward to it. Had bite that bullet as well and bought the Roman villa from Najewitz Modellbau. Expensive piece but impressive. Now got loads of single parts to stick together and paint. Will see, maybe I'm going to ask Grimm to paint it for me :)

Gettng someone else to paint things is always a good strategy! :-)

I always paint my figures but terrain isn't that easy for me for some reason, most of my terrain is painted by other people :)

Most of my terrain has been bought, painted, too.  I very much like to get stuff painted, in general, I like really big armies and it's the only way!  However I'll often go on to detail minis.  Some of my favourite units have been bought on eBay and "tarted up".

All done, at last!  I'm quite chuffed with them.

There are more photos on the blog, and some background material on who and what they are.
