Superfigs: Alien Host Anybody painted any of these?
« on: May 10, 2012, 09:48:44 AM »
I'm think of buying 10 of the Omega Shock troops, 5 of the shockbots, 1 of the guy in power armor(a force commander to lead the shock bots with his battleframe), one of the bald "guildspeaker" guy (the advisor to the warleader ), and one of the guy who looks kind of like Black Bolt of the inhumans (he'll be a cyborg/android champion who is their secret weapon).

If anyone has any photos of them painted or unpainted I would appreciate it. The google image search didn't come back with much.

I plan to use them as 'late 1960's Marvel Age' type cosmic invaders in a 15mm sci-fi game. I think they'd make really cool giant warlike cosmic beings who have come to subjugate mankind before they can become a threat. I imagine they'll be shooting truck melting and paralyzing rays from their cosmic staves and such. I figure the bald guy might be a psychic who mesmerizes his opponents or makes illusions or something.

They'll be facing some agents of a S.H.I.E.L.D. like espionage/security agency, a team of 4 two fisted  adventuring scientists (sort of a Challengers of the Unknown) who build gadgets, some brave blue collar loading robot operators (who ain't gonna take this crummy invasion crap lyin' down, know what I mean?), some futuristic national guard types who might turn into more of a GI Joe(Action Man) type of thing, and some guys in prototype powered armor all lead by "Science Command". I might throw in a fake Astroboy type guy too.

Anyway if anyone can give me a good idea of that they look like (better than the tiny Old Glory photos) I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

EDIT: I found a larger pic of the bald Guildspeaker.

Painted images here:

Most of those paint jobs are mine, as I recall!

Ooops--just saw your comment about the tiny pics! Sorry!  I don't know if I have larger versions of those files around anywhere. I will look.

If I get a chance this weekend I will dig my copies of the figs out and re-take some pics for you.
