My previous what-I-painted entry is from last November and it reflects the truth. That's truly depressing. :'(

Anyway, in May I painted a mansion (of madness).

Some investigation for scale...

But of course, Georgian mansions of ill repute should only be entered at midnight.

I may retouch some bits there, but more likely I won't. That piece has already stolen more than enough of my precious time.

For something completely unrelated, these have been on my table for half a year. I've added a tiny bit of paint every month. Having already forgotten, whether there was something to fix, I just finished the bases and called it a day.

Excluding the terrain piece, my output seems to add up to two minis in six months. Still sad. :(

Oh, wow.  The illuminated manor house is wonderful.  Is that the Grand Manner building wit the windows cut out and replaced?
Back from the dead, almost.

Thanks. :) It's from JR Miniatures, carved and cut. (About 784 panes, each individually. Don't try this at home.) It was also one ugly cast with endless bubbles, blobs and missing corners. I wonder if their store paintjob attempts to mask that with liberally applied paint. My goal was to achieve a slight improvement from that.

Does Grand Manner even make one?

Yes, part of their WW2 Carentan range.

Stunning work!

Whomakes the miniatures above? And what scale are they?

Cheers

Hello. Some further answers/comments:

Steve: Thanks, I found it here. Quite similar in style but obviously different in details. The JR building is Cliveden so I only browsed GM's FIW/AWI/ACW section with no success.

Because the JR store version isn't in authentic colours, I decided to try it myself. Unfortunately the model isn't 100% architecturally correct. Also, I couldn't be entirely sure about the colours, because they look a bit different in all source photos due to lighting and camera settings. Nevertheless, it should be somewhere close enough. My photo setup adds it own twist as well so what you see isn't precisely what you get.

OSR: They're from RAFM's Expedition to Egypt blister - in what we call 28mm scale, although possibly on a smallish side within that.

Prof: Thanks for the compliments. Much appreciated. :) I'll do my best to produce more in the next two months or so. It's the summer event season and all...

Lovely Keith. The drunken viking is still one of the best things I've seen this year  :)

And Dolmot - what a brilliant mansion that is. Very well done.

Love that warlord, aircav. Great paintwork for a great mini.

Bronze Age. He stated that. But I understand why you missed it. Because that is a damn fine paint job and you were mesmerized by it. :-)
Bronze Age does have some fine products. I do so love their dwarves.

No, it was because I had no idea there is a brand called Bronze Age. I was only familiar with the historical period. :)
