Bastion of Filth
« on: May 17, 2012, 08:32:55 PM »
This is my  Plaguereaper of Nurgle conversion from a baneblade kit.  It looks alot dirtier in person, the dark washes dont seem to be showing up in the photos.  The green fluid in the tanks is ammo for its pus cannon.  The hoses are arranged so the turret can actually turn.  I went for the freshly captured industrial look rather than the organic ooze look.

Very nice,

Just a quick question are you using a flash? Your images have a washed out look... I'd imagine it's either from a flash or possibly the whitre balance being off. I'm not an expert so someone else may be able to tell you why your wash doesn't show up.

Seconded on the ammo vats, they're great. I like how you've incorporated the theme into the rocket launcher, with only three tubes loaded and in the shape of the Nurgle symbol! Quite pleased I spotted that since I've only just got out of bed.

It looks like the flash is washing things out a bit- it's best to use natural light and leave the flash off but that's easier said than done if you're a Brit at the minute.

Yeah, well done!
I've never found enough energy to even start painting such a monster :)
