How did I miss this? Very interesting and  useful. I applaud the scientific approach.

Looking good SI, looking good.

The foam layering is pretty thin; it's unfortunate that B&Q don't sell the thicker stuff anymore! Grr

Anyway this is a lovely way to use flock mats! (And wow alot of green stuff; wouldn't clay be cheaper?)

Cheers
Andy

Looking good so far, interested to see how the river turns out. :)

Very nice; I especially like the bridge and the attachment/anchor points.

Also I understand where you're coming from about storage. I love the thinker foam boards; but If I'm going to be honest the size the sheets where sold in was far from idea; 2' by 2' squares would have suited me better.

What realistic water effects are you using? It looks tremendous!

It looks great Steve. :)

My only minor niggle is the road surface looks quite dark, would a dry brush of cream/bleached bone etc lighten it up abit and make it look more like a dirt track. Or are you keeping it dark to look muddy and wet, or is it the lighting in the photo?

lol
Yes, it would have suited gamers far better to get them in 2' x 2' squares but given that they are insulation sheets sold for insulation between rafters etc (400mm spacings) that's not likely is it  ;)
So many projects..... so little time.......

Pfft!  Damn DIY companies not catering to the tiny minority of wargamers who frequent their shops!

I'm not so sure that we have...however it was always a line with a problematic supply chain. It may have just been seasonally discontinued - either way I'll aim to find out over the next few days for you.

Had a look at the line drawings for the insulation bays and the pink one doesn't seem to be there at the moment. So for now it's no go and I couldn't even find them on the suppliers website either. :'(
