The old Citadel Samurai minis
« on: October 08, 2006, 10:00:46 AM »
I am building an army based around the old Citadel Samurai minis (from the 80's). I do not have enough for a very big army and I want to buy more. Does anyone know of a company that makes a similar size and style mini? I think the Foundry was producing them at one time, but not now.

Thanks,
TT.

I bought a full set from Foundry last year, even though they're not listed anymore. Just ring up and ask :)

Ok, I will emailed Foundry - I live in Australia. I love the old Citadel range. I will also try the Perry Brothers.

Watch out for Grenadiers Ninja Assassins box and Ral Parthas Ninja Hitsquad box. They aren't that much detailed as the Citadel ninjas but from the size they should fit quite good.

Please pardon the threadomancy, but I thought the forum members might like to see the exhaustively-researched Citadel Oriental Heroes databases that I helped create over at the CCM (Collecting Citadel Miniatures) Wiki site:

There's also this page for the Undead Samurai on the WIKI -

http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Undead_Samurai_C18

I haven't listed it on the research page yet as I am attempting to paint the whole range before I do...................I've had most of this range of figures since the early 80s and only completed it recently   8)

I was at Foundry yesterday and they still had some of the original range on the walls in blisters - £10 a pack with (I think) 6 figures in. Apologies, I forgot to ask if they did the whole of the range etc, I was too busy frothing  to my poor confused 9 year old son.
