I don't know the author and haven't read the book but I've given it a whirl at the bargain price. Apparently it's about the Earth being hit by a devastating electromagnetic pulse. No need to tell readers of this board that means Bad News (especially for eReader users, I should imagine - how ironic.. )

About a third of the way through. Aside from some incomprehensible references to American foodstuffs, it's not half bad. I was a little worried when I noticed on Amazon (after I'd bought it and started reading it) that it was classed as "teen" (or something like that) fiction but it's fine....It's got guns, cannibals and zombies so can't be bad....
