Japanese soldier babe
« on: May 23, 2012, 09:49:10 AM »
Hello,

I am playing Dust Tactics and I would like to add japanese heroes in my Axis army.

I am looking for a japanese officer compatible in size with DT miniatures (1/48 or 32-35mm) but also for a japanese babe like the one below .I can make conversions with two or more miniatures and I already found a suitable head. I could use a woman torso with a man legs or whatever....don't worry it won't be a shemale  ;)  Any ideas ? Thanks.

Any japanese WW2 miniatures manufacturers apart Warlord which I guess is true 28mm ?

Would Infinity miniatures or the Reaper Chrosnoscope japanese officer be compatible in size with DT miniatures ?

I wish I were an octopus to paint more miniatures...Cthulhu must be a great painter

Well, here's a video that shows some size comparisons with GW minis:

I don't know of any size comparisons with Infinity stuff unfortunately, the genres are a little removed, but generally speaking they are taller and thinner than GW stuff so they might work pretty well:

I think there may have been some size fluctuation in the line at some point so older models may be taller or shorter - I'm not sure which as I don't really have that many myself. Also I might manage to take a comparison photo of some I Yu-Jing side by side with DT but I can't really say when that would be possible - prolly would take more than a month at best :?

The other FFG weird war game, Tännhauser, looks to have Japanese these days:

I do believe they are also in 1/48 scale - or at least in a comparison shot a T female hero (left) looks to be the same size as a DT female hero (middle):

They even have a Japanese ninja babe ready to go:

Thanks I already know the FFG japanese. They might match DT minis but are a bit expensive when you consider the price + shipping cost.

Thanks for the photos and video too it helps.

Which manufacturers make WW2 japanese minis ?

She a kunoichi, a female ninja, there's no doubt about that.

Here are a few I found:

regarding your question for manufacturers, I compiled these lists some time ago:

And perhaps my own Weird War II Japan project might give some inspiration:

Thanks White Knight.

I already browsed Frotherunites site but all the miniatures listed are true 28mm (and even smaller for some of them).

I made a search on the forum before posting this new thread and saw your thread too. Very nice and very inspiring and I will steal some ideas such as the sumo and the Ma.K I already have. Unfortunately the other miniatures are awesome but too small for a DT project.

I don't have any official Wolsung minis yet but I have the Judge Officer Anderson from the same company and if she's any indication as to the scale MAS is using then the Orc Ninja with a headswap and an added pistol (with a silencer obviously ;)) might fit in very fine. The problem is that she still won't look very WWII...

Neither does Paolo Parente's artwork at the top. She's pretty much Ibuki from Street Fighter in combat boots and a nambu pistol.

That's true of course, but since the OP has mentioned historical minis at least twice I was thinking the Parente piece is mostly just there for the eye candy reasons 8)

You are right it's for eye candy reasons on my tabletop.
