New sculpt
« on: May 29, 2012, 02:23:20 PM »
Hi everyone  :)

My latest work in progress, A Giant flying Insect creature from the void! its sculpted in green stuff and muliput.

Not sure if this would fit in with Lovecraft Mythos or its more suited to fantasy?

The feet and one leg still needs sculpting, also I plan to do more heads, bodies, wings etc. if people think it is worth it?

What do you think? ( very sorry its stuck together with blue-tack at the moment  :) )

Scale shot

Thanks
George

It's a very nice sculpt, but for me not very Lovecraftian. It looks too 'earthly' for a cosmic horror. It would be more suitable for a 'giant insect' 50's horror movie genre.
I like my games like my orange juice: pulpy with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners

That's what I was thinking so I posted it in the Future wars section instead.

Thanks

Its probably even better if you add a second set of (tiny) wings... Most diptera's (2 wings) have a second set of really small wings... http://www.diptera.info/photogallery.php
