An entrancing report (as always).

Malamute, what rules set are you using for your games?

The widely unpopular Vampire Wars/Gothic Horror from Westwind games.
 :o
They seem to be perfect for our style of game.  :)

They aren`t too bad a set of rules, rather the layout is confusing and some rules seem to contradict themselves.

I used to play them a lot, the main issue is that if you dont use them regulalrly yo end up flicking through the book to find the special attributes etc.

A couple of years ago I did pull together QR sheets by race type I think it may still be on their Yahoo group

If I remember I tried to put all of the rules for each faction on the one sheet to reduce record keeping (my main pain with the rules) as in the books they are in different sections which pee`d me off.

I would probably build a spreadsheet now to handle that

The older WW/Old Glory rules were all laid out by the printer, so they often suffered from errors and just generally poor layout that turned some of the rules into unreadable messes. Luckily Scott Pyle has a gamer friend who is a layout wizard, so his Supersystem and Chaos books are much better in that regard. of course I'm a friend and neighbor of Scott (no, not the layout wizard!) so I would say that I suppose.
