On the thunderhammer head I am hoping that what I have tried is a nice balance between it being dark not instantly pulling the eye whilst still having bags of interest that will attract the eye eventually

  Honestly I do not like the hammer pal. To me it looks a bit like a camouflage. The rest of the mini is superb (base included) but that hammer is a little bland. I think you can do better than this mate!

The cracked lava as decent as it was just didn't sit right with the Dark Angel aesthetic so i repainted it







because it is gloss varnished it is a pain in the butt to get a decent photo

  Lovely model! I did like the lava hammer, but it was a bit more Salamanders than Dark Angels...
This definitely fits the tone better.

The lava hammer was painted very well, but didn't really fit the mini.

This version is as well painted technically, and fits the dark angels theme. I love the way it looks kind of made of glass. It emphatizes that it is a techno-magical weapon.
