Great stuff Andy!! A real inspiration, I've got as far as primer at the moment. Just working out the colour schemes, What paint range did you use?

Hi Johnny Boy,

The paints are all from Vallejo.

The DPM is pretty simple really.  The base coat id Reflective Green, covered by a wash of Games Workship Badab Black.  I don't highlight this, just start on the camo.  It's best to have some reference material to hand, so you know roughly where the relevent colours go.
Start with patches of Khaki, and then longer patches of SS Camo Black Brown and the very thin swirls of black.

The webbing is  a base of German Field Grey, then a highlight of Russian Uniform Green and then a final highlight of Russian Uniform and Buff.

I sometimes break the webbing colours by adding the odd pouch in brown.  This is a base of Chocolate Brown, then English Uniform and a final highlight of English Uniform and Buff.

In some of the pictures you can see some Paras wearing a green smok.

The base for this is Russian Uniform Green, then Grey Green and a final highlight of Grey Green and Medium Grey.

I hope you find this guide useful and let me know how it goes, and if you need some close ups let me know.

Cheers all

Andy

Lovely to see some of these fella's popping up again. Still probably the range I had most fun sculpting, I look forward to seeing more of your stuff as you finish it.

Top brush work,
Soaps.

Just ordered a platoons worth each of the Brits and the Argentines plus some spare odds and sods. Looking forward to painting these. I was at the Malvinas memorial in Buenos Aires just last week as it happens.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Soapy, it would be great if Gripping Beast commissioned a few more packs of these, I'm sure they would sell well.

Top sculps anyway  :)

Cheers all

Andy
