Stuff is finally rolling off the table again after a busy month that kept me from my Kursk project. Tigers and a load os Soviet armor nearly done--just basing and some weathering left. In the meantime, a Soviet banner party:

Regarding the Elefant/Ferdinand.  It's a Ferdinand as the refits after kursk saw the Ferdinand renamed as elefant with minor additions of things such as Zimmerit.

May as well call them ferdifants as they are effectively the same vehicle.

Top modelling and painting bud, seriously nice armour :)

Forgot to add, for foliage/camouflage you can use seamoss as brachnes with either leaves attached for larger leaves or woodland scenics course turf.
all available from http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?p=3&q=net

For camo nets http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/camouflage-netting-brown.html (just spray random patches of green and brown onto it to jazz it up.
You can then either roll it up and tie it at both ends to add as stowage or place it over parts of the vehicle with bits of turf and leaves. to make it more sturdy just pva scement mix all over it once it glued in place.

General, thanks for the info.  The sea moss plus Noch leaves looks like it would work nicely.

Some Soviet guns:

Need to tidy up they tire on the last gun.

Just finished some more T-34s:

A closer view of one of them:

Here's the lot. A whole 10 tank company plus a HQ tank.  Got a nice AB tank commander yesterday to occupy the open hatch.

More on the way today.

This weekend's (work in) progress. Numerous German and Soviet infantry support weapons and special troops. S/O teams, Pioneers, Mortars, MGs, Soviet C2, m/c dispatch, Panzerschreck, and some 88s to the rear.  Mostly AB and Warmodelling with a few CP sculpts as well.

My favorite is the signals/command team.

Finally got them on the table.  Used some home-brewed technical data based on KGN and information I found here http://wwiitanks.co.uk.

We did two games, one similar to Panther Hunt and the other based on a scenario in the Osprey T34 v Panther book.  I had wanted to post a full battle report but most of my iPhone pics came out like complete crap.  So here are the good ones, briefly described.

Game 1, the table, 6x6, Panther Hunt.

Part of the German force moving into position behind some concealment.

A T-34 destroys a Pz IV in an early exchange of fire.

The Pak 40 returns the favor.

The Russians are outgunned and out-armored.  Closing the distance is the only answer.  Some good dice and the Panther is burning.

The Russians move forward on the other flank

Game two, a similar table but with a river emplaced in the center panels. Based on the ambush at Kraschanintschen. The Germans advance on a broad front.

The Soviets cautiously eye the situation

The German infantry rush forward to seize the woods on their left.

The Germans continue to roll forward.

The T-34s in flames, much like the historical scenario in which 28 T-34s were destroyed with no loss of German armor.

The infantry move in to seize the objective and victory.

Both games played great.  Really looking forward to the release of BGK.
