Finally got them on the table. Used some home-brewed technical data based on KGN and information I found here
http://wwiitanks.co.uk.
We did two games, one similar to Panther Hunt and the other based on a scenario in the Osprey T34 v Panther book. I had wanted to post a full battle report but most of my iPhone pics came out like complete crap. So here are the good ones, briefly described.
Game 1, the table, 6x6, Panther Hunt.
Part of the German force moving into position behind some concealment.
A T-34 destroys a Pz IV in an early exchange of fire.
The Pak 40 returns the favor.
The Russians are outgunned and out-armored. Closing the distance is the only answer. Some good dice and the Panther is burning.
The Russians move forward on the other flank
Game two, a similar table but with a river emplaced in the center panels. Based on the ambush at Kraschanintschen. The Germans advance on a broad front.
The Soviets cautiously eye the situation
The German infantry rush forward to seize the woods on their left.
The Germans continue to roll forward.
The T-34s in flames, much like the historical scenario in which 28 T-34s were destroyed with no loss of German armor.
The infantry move in to seize the objective and victory.
Both games played great. Really looking forward to the release of BGK.
