Van-Helsings Pulp City Miniatures
« on: June 11, 2012, 11:21:42 PM »
People on other Forums have seen these, but I've never shared them here - so here goes.

Now Empire of the Dead has come into my life, I have my "holy trinity" of Games (Pulp City and Freebooters Fate being the other two) - so here are a few of my Pulp City Miniatures.

The Gentleman - Pulp Cities top Hitman.

Iron Train!

Ace of Wraiths

Hellsmith (a particular favourite of mine)

Nuclear Jones (not only do I love the Miniature, I adore the name)

Skyline! Since I took this picture I've re-based him on a much more impressive base!

Lastly (for now) Sovereign - the Immortal Soldier! (I FRACKING LOVE THIS MINIATURE)!

They all look really good, but my personal fave is Nuclear Jones.  Great paint job on a very cool miniature!  Did you use anything as inspiration for the colour scheme?  At first glance I'd have thought Firelord just on the sculpt, which would have steered me away from using greens and greys.

Sometimes its the original Miniatures concept art or the "studio" version, if I like their choice of colours - thats what I got for. Other times its what looks "right" to me (if any of that makes sense)

I am really digging a lot of the Pulp City miniatures, but I just bought the 3rd Edition of the SuperSystem rules.  I'm going to start converting heroclix first and then see how I feel about that.  I've got some experience converting horrorclix figures and they actually turn out really well (the sculpts are better than most give them credit for).

But!  These miniatures are pretty great.  What's your favorite Pulp City figure, either that you own or want to get?

It changes EVERY TIME the Bring Something new - so far it's Definitely Sovereign!

Although I must admit I am quite taken with the Crimson Oni (who was one of my most recent efforts) -

Trail Came out quite well too -

I'm working on Rook, Perun, and Harrier atm.

But!  These miniatures are pretty great.

I have found that no matter how much I like a Pulp City mini, I like it even more in my hand. Most pictures online (apart from these) dont do the models justice

Wow, Trail is an awesome figure.  Sort of dark, scary magician-esque.  *Must resist urge to buy more stuff*

The Figures are great, the system is VERY tight - you can already have Custom Minions/Henchmen.

If they every introduce rules for Custom Supremes/Supers - Supersystem will be but a distant memory . . . . .
