Added a resource extraction point for the human colonists this weekend.  Here it is the pre- and post-paint:

Thanks for mentioning the blog.  I've got a few followers, but you never know whether you're boring people with the whole, "Look at me! Look at me!" stuff.  That said, look at my table:

This is everything I have complete to date.  Still looks a little sparse to me.  I have a landing pad and some vehicles to add, but they aren't ready for prime time just yet.  The tricky bit is finding a suitable 'alien artifact' like a face or temple ruin or somesuch.  It should be recognziably alien, but small enough to fit into the box with the rest of the stuff.

An idea might be to pick any suitable alien, fantasy or other mini in your prefered scale (monolithic or just ordinary statue sized) texture and paint as a statue. Weather and then recess into a rock formation so it looks like it is carved out of the rock.

Here is a (slightly freaky in this instance) variation on the theme. Lots of head sprues around to achieve the look you want.

Man, that is freaky. I'd planned on the whole 'carved into rock' thing, taking inspiration from Matakishi's Face of Boo (http://www.matakishi.com/alienworld.htm), but at 10mm a full face was just too big a piece. Using a larger scale figure is a great idea, I'll have to see if I can find a Geiger-esque alien action figure floating around somewhere.

That is a very nice looking piece! Are you using flock on the base?

No flock a'tall.  This is a rocky, Mars-like planet where the only vegetation (so far) is the blue horn-like tubes.  This piece, and the others, is just sand painted up from dark red to yellow.

First figures for this 'kitchen sink' game are finally done.  Did a fast and easy paint job on these not-predators (by Pendraken):

Matching their color to the table color helps them look like they've activated their chameleon suits.

Fantastic !!! Love the logo. Wally was the least funny Pixar movie. It's great, but it sure isn't funny. Maybe a future filled with nothing but floating fat people hit a bit too close to home for an American.

Wow!

I think this project just becomes more and more inspiring!

I wish I had the guts to go all in for 10mm... but sadly I'm addicted to 28's.  lol

I hadn't, but thanks to you checked for some when I was at the pet store yesterday picking up kitty litter (some of which might wind up in terrain, too come to think of it.)

Also, new pics!
