So far all the figures that I've done have been Pendraken.  They really are nice sculpts.  Only downside is that the on-line shop doesn't have a lot of photos.  The upshot is that a lot of fans (self included) are pretty good about ID-ing photos that they take, so you can find what they look like with a bit of googling.  I also like that they sell in pretty small lots - 10 figures at a shot for most packs.  The big packs are great for mass battles, but I do skirmish gaming so they don't do me a lot of good.

All the new additions are great, but that landing pad is SUPERB!
Love it. All of it!

The alien forces are painted up.  Here's a scale comparison of painted aliens with a painted marine.

I'm hoping to take my homebrew rules for a test drive this weekend.  If I can, I'll take a few shots of the entire setup and post pictures.

Great work. Those predators really fit in well on the terrain.

The project is just great.  I really like the smaller scales and you've done some amazing work with 10mm. I gotta say, that scratch built landing pad is easily my favorite...

This is what a thin wash of Devlan Mud will do for indistinct figures:

And this is what a final brush up of highlights will do:

Don't know about you, but that looks way better to my eyes.

And this is what I love about 10mm - ease of transport:

This is the whole lot packed up into one tub that fits under a bed.  Easy to haul, easy to store.

Great looking project. I wasn't aware you were on LAF too, I have been following loosely on you blog for some time. I found it via Google search for alien plants. I will probably have a go on the straw plants too at some point.

Good stuff.

It's a small internet, ain't it?  We get lucky, we could meet across a table sometime, too.

Next addition to the project is a squad of Pendraken's Minotaurs with Heavy Weapons:

For scale, that's a human marine in between the big guys.

Nice minotaurs, only too bad there is not more different poses.

It is a shame.  I'm thinking about buying a pack of the fantasy minotaurs and kitting them out with 25mm weapons from the bits box.

Pendraken's lizardmen next up on the runway:

These are all from Pendraken's SF27 - lizards with lasers.  Each pack gives you 2 in this pose and 3 in the next.

Not sure why some lizardmen wear pants and others don't.  Must be a class thing.  I originally painted the guns dark red, but they faded into the ground so much that you couldn't see them at all.  Nothing some silver and Devlan Mud wash couldn't cure, though.

And one more shot just for scale:

Man, when I saw those on RPG.net, I missed the text and just assumed they were 28mm.  Fantastic job !
