NARAN CLONES WARS
« on: January 08, 2012, 09:32:02 AM »
Hi,
Naran's website has been updated with pictures of the battle of "Naran Future Wars" we played on January 4, 2012:
Scenario Star Wars - The Clones Wars - Clones against Droids.
We played with armies of 1750 points and the battle was won by the Clones (Sergio), which inflicted a massacre to Droids (Sandro).
You can see the images in "Naran International" - page "Naran Future" - "Gallery".

This is the LIMK directed to the new page:

And these are some of the images:

Good vision,
Sergio

Great looking battle.  Very inspiring!

What figures are they?

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.  It is by the juice of Typhoo the thoughts acquire speed, the teeth acquire stains, the stains serve as a warning.  It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

They are the "Wizard of the Coast" of Star Wars range, now out of production for problems born with George Lucas.

The model of the AT-TE is instead a REVEL (Easy Kit Star Wars). It is in scale 1:98, then under scaled towards the 28 mm miniatures of the Wizard (1:56), but it is big enough to be used along with them. And it's the only currently present on the market.
It would be desirable that George Lucas gave the license to another manufacturer of 28 mm  wargaming miniatures.

They did: http://www.knightmodels.com/category.php?id_category=12

Or did you mean another another manufacturer? :)

Oh, and Fantasy Flight has a number of options for Star Wars games. Although it seems they're taking it very slowly.

Many thanks for the information. I did not know there were such figures.
I have seen the site. They declared them as "30 mm".
I am afraid that they are not compatible with the 28 mm minies of the Wizard.
At the moment there are only some Characters and a few blisters of the armies of Imperials and Droid, that two armies belonging to the same "dark" side of two different eras!
No armies of the light side to oppose them!!
It Maybe they will be released later.
I hoped that George Lucas gave the license to any  company, such Mongoose who had made a very beautiful series of 28 mm miniatures for Starship Troopers saga.
We need complete armies,  with tanks and armored vehicles to be able to make a "true" WARGAME !!!!!!!!!!!
We made the rules (Naran Future Wars), so we expect someone to do miniatures and models  comparable with those of Warhammer 40K!
George Lucas, if you're here, "beat a shot"!
Bye,
Sergio
