I think that's really cool that the Plastic Soldier Company is associated with this. It's good for PSC and it's good for BGK.

Congrats, V.

So looking forward to this... Shouldn't be long now.
Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

Reading the play-test AAR's it sounds more like the evolution of KGN.
I think there has been a unique opportunity to make advances that would have been commercially impossible if Warhammer Historical had stayed in business, or if KGN had continued to be supported in any other way.
Advances based on player feedback and hindsight. This is the sort of silver-lining scenario that everyone should benefit from.

Sounds great.
But i will wait till i see if the base sizes for infantry are near FOW sizes ?
I do have loads of 20mm germans as well etc
you would think they would show this on there site to help sell it.
and its a pain, them not showing the release day
I will hold back till Derby.

I have just invested in a copy of Bolt Action and already have KGN, so that narrows the possibility of me shelling out for another premium ruleset right now.  I will watch commenting with interest though.

There are no "base sizes" for Battlegroup Kursk (as there were none for its predecessor KGN). They are designed for single figure basing 1:1.
If you want to use multi figure bases (as I do) you decide for yourself how big those bases should be. If you want them to be FOW sized, they are. If you want them some other size, they are that as well.

BGK is at the printers, becoming books. To be honest, it does not appear to be as far behind schedule as I imagined it would be when a September release was initially announced (I pessimistically add two months to release announcements made by any company...).

Holding off for release day is, of course, a sound decision. I'll admit to being excited about the release and having high hopes for the set. ;D I think it worth supporting and I like the pre-order deal through PSC. It's not much different than supporting a kickstarter.

Sounds great.

The game will play brilliantly in 15mm. You will only need to decide how you want to track casualties within your bases of infantry. There are plenty of options for doing that.

We play platoon level games of KGN in 20mm and company level games in 15mm. The only thing that changes is the size of the table, the terrain and the miniatures.

15mm gamers in our group really got behind KGN; they dusted off their neglected 15mm kit and started playing again. Those chaps are looking forward to more fun from BGK.

Is there a point system?
since most of my 15 figures are Greek, Italian,British and Germans for Greece 1940 to 41.
I do have some 15mm Germans and Russian which will fit in for 1943. lol ok more than some ::)
shame i sold all my 20mm Russians a year ago to a club member ???
plus my 15mm Japanese and russians for 1939.
