Is there a point system?
since most of my 15 figures are Greek, Italian,British and Germans for Greece 1940 to 41.
I do have some 15mm Germans and Russian which will fit in for 1943. lol ok more than some ::)
shame i sold all my 20mm Russians a year ago to a club member ???
plus my 15mm Japanese and russians for 1939.

Yes there is a points system, but it built around structured lists rather than free form. Designed to keep forces within "historical" possibility and balanced.

Depending on the particular German or Russian force you are building, (Infantry or Armour) you have to start with a number of basic troop options. Each of these options allows you to choose from a selection of supporting weapons.

One of the "sample" pages posted earlier has an example:

Is there going to be a forum for these rules?

Also the game encourages the use of logistics, support and some more unusual units. You will want to keep armour supplied and forward observers / controllers are required for the more powerful artillery and air assets. Engineering and recovery units can play a variety of roles.

Great opportunities to bring some very interesting models to our games and have them play a useful role.

The fine line being walked with this series of rules is to create a game that respects the history and the feel of the theatre, but that also recognises that we are playing a game.

Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

There is a section of the Guild dedicated to BGN, with all of the lastest updates straight from Will, Warwick and Piers. http://www.guildwargamers.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=266 I think you will need to apply for membership of the forum, but that is easily done and then a whole wealth of BGN info will be yours.

Nice to see this come to reality, utterly impressive. I am sure I will order a copy, if nothing else for the candy and to support the project!
Tintin - Pulp Adventures in a orderly fashion
Gallows Falls - Western Village
Eisende - Mordheim costal village WIP
Rome - SPQR & Hail Caesar

Welll I have some good news and some bad news about Battlegroup Kursk.

The good news is... Its printing now!

The bad news is, due to a few 'hitches' the delivery dates for the books is now 17th October 2012.

Warwick is trying his hardest to get them to shift things along but we can only wait and see... If it comes sooner I will let ya all know!

So as way of tiding you over till then, I managed to get some of the final page proofs from Warwick to show you... Click to go big!

Dont mind the odd text... That happened when I converted the PDFs to JPEGs!
