A couple of Escher Gangers (Excalibur Miniatures)
« on: June 24, 2012, 04:14:57 PM »
Mad Donna got my juices going to get a full Escher gang done for Necromunda. I bought these girls a while back but never got around to starting them. They are a treat to paint (old Werner Klocke sculpts to my knowledge) and I have a handfull more to do which is good.

Very nice  ;)

Slightly OT, but I always assumed those miniatures were unreleased/retasked Warzone Ettiole Mortants as they have the classic weapon combo - anyone here in the know?

No, those are Fearless models, by Excalibur Miniaturen, sculpted by Werner Klocke in his earlier carreer.
Far less active than I used to...

I know, but they look identical to Warzone Ettiole Mortants armed with the Punisher combo, which always made me wonder if Werner had been commissioned to make them  for that game before the publisher went under, and they were released elsewhere. It happens all the time in the industry (believe me!).

They do look similar, I think the pistols look pretty close to some of the I-Kore Void pistols too!

Etoiles mortantes were released, v2 if I remember correctly ?

Are you thinking about a v3 or something ?

The shoulderpads doesn't "sound" like other bauhaus troups.

By the way, nice gang. I cannot believe that I sold necromunda v1 complete with 2 gangs (metal figures) in early 2000's. I guess I was more focused on girls and week end parties than on minis at this time  lol

Nope, in fact Valarie Duval was in Mutant Chronicles before Warzone even came out if I recall - Google Image it - these are definitely EMs.

Great color scheme.  :-*    Klocke is one of my favorite sculptors.
I am not a quack!  I'm a mad scientist.  There IS a difference!
