[Glory of the Sun] La Reine Marche
« on: June 16, 2009, 08:40:49 PM »
Not really a new project, rather a side trip into my own history: Actually I was drawn into historical wargaming by a deep interest in the age of Louis XIV, the Sun King. Back then there weren't many decent miniatures for this period, so I buried my plans under other projects. Consequently Copplestone's latest releases for the "Glory of the Sun" caught me off guard, and immediately a bunch of miniatures was ordered.

Thus here comes the La Reine regiment, eager to augment la Gloire du Roi on the battlefields of Flanders, Spain and the Palatinate. >:D

I based them quite randomly in my accustomed fashion. If ever the need arises, I'll probably use Crusader's "Rank & File" or Barry Hilton's "Beneath the Lily Banners" rules.

They're lovely.

Man, the Internet is dangerous sometimes....

Great work on beautiful figures! Mark's old "Grand Alliance" range for Dixon, is one of my all time favorites, and probably still stands up well to newer ranges.
