Thanks for the nice comments, guys! It is stuff like this that keeps one going when a project looses momentum. However, this time I had no momentum to loose because time was awfully short and my Pyrates needed a ship! I bought a very cheap extremely used Playmobil ship off ebay but chucked it away as soon as I saw this:

We have a children's TV show starring a blue bear captain who tells hilarious stories(Or should I say yarns?) to his nephews. And Revell even put out a model kit of his ship! Cheap, just EUR 14,-! 'Easy Kit'!
Can you believe that?  Away with that stupid Playmobil ship!

The 'Unthinkable' could be constructed now!

Three weeks later it looks like this, hope you like the pics:

A proper ship has a prow, even Goblins know that! So they commissioned me to sculpt one. I was free on the subject, so I chose a moon:

The back is adorned with skull and crossbones which I had to sculpt as well:

Captain on deck:

First officer trying to look the business:

In the background of the pictures you can glimpse a bit of the pirate table I have built. I will expand on this as soon as it is finished.

I was in Denmark yesterday and we spent one entire day playing the Pirate game with several ships, crews, a fort, islands, cannibals, a governor's daughter and so on! It was one of the most memorable games in my career as a wargamer. Hopefully, the pirates will return to Horisont Convention this November in Esbjerg.

Great miniatures! That ship is very cool! I think this kit works much better than a playmobil ship. The moon thing and the skull look very cool as well! Well done!!

Very nice ship - the cartoony style works perfectly with the goblins.

Well having seen them in the flesh and fought them (and sunk their ship :D ), I can honestly say the pictures don't really do them justice. Great painting and thanks for a great game, which as you say is going to be very memorable for a long time to come.

She is a WONDROUS CREATION...GREAT FIND. The figurehead, stern decoration, & all the embellishments make her a perfect fit for her Goblin Crew. She is inspiring...VERY WELL DONE!

I hope you don't mind, but I posted a link to your thread over on Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum to draw the Pirate Minded Folk to your creations.

The very teasing shots of the terrain reminded me of a Disneyland ride for some reason. Really looking forward to seeing how the multi level water looks in full. No need to praise the ship and crew - thats a given.

Guess you might say I am a vikotnik fan hey?

And you are clearly not alone in that! Wow. Such great work on display here. Love it all. The 'bad moon' prow is so full of character.

With jokes like that, you'd better get some grandkids to tell them to.  :D

For the record, "Grandad groaners" are actually my favourite type of joke.
