Those figures look a good deal better than in any photos of them that I'd seen before.

Quite so. In fact I will have to rethink my prejudices on the topic. I bought the WF WW2 Americans recently and was pleasantly surprised, although they are a bit fiddly to put together.

I wonder how these would match up with the Ebor WAS figures wise, size? I've been contemplating some of those.

They've come up well.

I've got a couple of boxes of infantry I've got to work on for my Imaginations project at some point. Will have to see if I can build in a bit more character like yours.

Some of the foot figures don't look too bad... But the horses look very very strange...

I think it's just a case of them taking their artistic sources too literally.

Of course, they might have looked closer to home for something more realistic. Maybe this was the source for the Samurai mounts.

All joking aside, the foot figures aren't too bad. They'd make acceptable army filler or cheap side projects and WF really has improved it's general standards.

Actually, the horses aren't that bad… the horses' heads on the other hand… :?

They don't look too shabby at all, considering what I've read about them.

On their site they mention "...can be used for earlier period..."  Tell me please, how many "floppy hat" heads are there in the box?

Agreed....better looking than I have seen before - I am tempted to try their WW2 Germans...the Warlord ones are 'interesting' to say the least  >:(

Looking forward to seeing how you paint them up!

WF really should have spent a bit of time and money getting their figures done up by really good brushmen and spending some money on better box art....
