What I Painted in July 2012
« on: July 05, 2012, 06:22:30 AM »
June is gone and peeps are putting up a nice load of beautifully painted goodness.
I just wanted to start the thread for July for when current projects are completed and ready for the viewing public to see. :-)

Hi all,

I've lurked on the board for a while now and finally started to get off my posterior and start contributing:

In my frantic preparations for Historicon, I've been painting up a storm. First up are the Duras Sisters (Lursa & B'etor) plus some of their lackey's for my Dr. Who meets Star Trek game:

Secondly, a "Not-Colonel-Rall" & AWI British officer for my Zombies of Treton GASLIGHT game:

Well, I'm not expecting to finish any more figures today, so here's my July output: two sets of figures for my Doctor Who 1963-1964 project.

There are more pictures starting from this page:

I also painted the first 5 minis for the next Doctor Who story (and the last of the 1963-1964 series), "The Reign of Terror".  I'll post pictures when I've finished the set.  Edit: and here they are:

2nd picture Wars of the Roses,
last picture the Lord of the Rings.

[Mid-July, me to myself:] "Notes? Baloney! Of course I'll remember what I painted. It's all here on my table!"
[August, after packing and unpacking a ton of convention boxes twice:] "What I painted? Err...."

Let's try anyway. I'll add the rest later if anything comes to mind.

Dagon priest and groupies (quick paintjob for games, may need fixing):

Rusty Rail bits:

Fields (too big for a proper photo, farmer is old stuff for scale):

Venice, or something similar:

Disclaimers: Contains a lot of recycled stuff (cobbles, church, bell tower, bridge, resin bits) and teamwork (assembly of buildings, some painting), is not really finished yet. But it was playable. See the convention preview topic for extra shots of these things in action.

Alright, summer season over. I'll probably calm down a bit now. :)

A bit late to the party but here it goes :

A Supermutant (Brother Vinni):

3 (maybe not so very) Glowing Ones (Mantic):

4 Kibri 1/72 pylons for 15mm and 20mm games (exchangeable bases were made last month) :

An O-scale train station platform (plasticville) :
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,
for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
