Thanks Necrocannibal. They were tremendously fun after Warmachine, BFG and 40k.

Thanks Aggro! I did the fiction but the terrain and figs are all my homie Pete's work. When we first played I didn't have anything painted yet... they look awesome, right? So fun to play on that board.

Agent Petri has no idea what happened here so of course, he gets closer.

Here's the second Scene of Horror. Not so ambitious this time, a reboot on an old terrain piece I had built before with new paint, details and mounting/basing/flocking. The blood is a mix of Burnt Umber acrylic and Tamiya Clear Red. It gives a good wet sheen, you can control how opaque it is with other colors and cleans up with water. That said, it tends to give over-the-top results but since that is what I was going for here, it's cool.

More procedure and pics at my blog, Sarcophagi...

Yup, idols can plug into the SoH as can other minis with a standard base, if you're into that kind of thing

Cracking work, Yetis!
Great effect with the blood.
 :-*

You putting up these scenes is making really itch to do mine, I have a couple of those Cthulhu statues on their way to me from another forum member, one of the Copplestone ones and a couple of other bits to crack on with.
Just need to find the werewithal to get on with it...

Now I know what to do with my GW skull pillars hehe.
Thanks for the scale shot of bag of Cthulhu and Mini Cthulhu  :) I thought the mini Cthulhu were alot smaller, now that I see that they are even larger, Im going to have to get some.
@Mason:  You will find lots of uses for the statues :)

Very nice. I love the details.  :-*
Very atmospheric. The symbols and blood stains look amazing.
Got to get me some of that Tamiya red!

What did you use for the tall grasses?

You made a wonderful job on this scenery. The blood effect is incredible. I can't wait to see how you will use it in game!  :-*

Here's my 3rd Scene of Horror, a mausoleum or underground tomb entrance. I finished it in much the same way as the others, only the construction and details are the difference here.

This started life as an empty dental floss container and some bits I had laying around. You can see the start to it all at my blog along with more pictures: http://sarcophagi.blogspot.com/2012/06/wip-scenes-of-horror-rlyeh-gotta-pee.html

After paint, but before attaching the front door, I detailed the interior of the door by painting some spooky glowy eyes. This was a trade off, I wanted to add something to the piece that wasn't overt (but creepy) and also allowed models to stand at the doorway, which they can. Speaking of which, I'm probably going to make a metal door to replace this wood one at some point but this is fine for now.

I flocked and added crabgrass abound the area and some ivy creeping up the back. I had installed some some fence which I had picked up from Scenic Express (a GREAT company) and added some verdigris to that to age it a bit. Originally I installed the fence at full height but my buddy Pete suggested it was too tall so I cut it in half. I'm glad I did. 5 models can stand inside the fence.

I have a few more things on the bench like Night Gaunts, more agents some rehab on 2 terrain boards coming out of retirement for Strange Aeons. Finally, I played at my buddy Pete's house this weekend so I'll have a batrep up soon about the drubbing I took... good times!
