Driller's House of Hungarian Horror
« on: July 10, 2012, 09:34:15 AM »
This will be a thread full of pictures of my figures and terrain employed in Chaos in Carpathia.

Here is Szabadbattyáni Túrócz József (Joseph Túrócz of Szabadbattyán), hungarian noble with a short fuse but with a big torch (figure is West Wind, of course.) Base is not finished yet.

I did a bunch of pics of my other figures and my graveyard as well, but they all came out blurry - oh well, guess I have to work on my photo skills :)

Very nice. Looking forward to seeing this develop. :)

While I patiently wait for the literal object of the title.  lol

Always remember, you can put up 'blurred' piccies, then edit the note later.

You can see from my avatar why I've such a kinship with József.   ;)

I have that model in my collection - his name is Lazlo the Wanderer. Actually, that whole pack is great.

Gotta be honest, Jet, your blog was my main inspiration in this project. You've got some seriously beautiful shit there :)

Three other monster hunters:

Athalie Zadori, an old maid (well, in her mid 30s, but we are talking about the 1800s here :) of good repute, who's whole family was vampirized by Count Baradlay (his picture is coming up)

Tibor Csibor, a good natured peasant who has his own secrets (to be honest could come up with anything right now)

and Jankó Fütyülős (Whistling Jimmy), local persecutor (that was what hungarian rural police was actually called back then) and well known coward.

I certainly do :)

You gotta have to wait for the houses some more, because I'm a bit broke right now, and didn't even bought them yet. But looks like they will be the PMC Games houses, because their saxon range resembles old hungarian peasant houses the most, they just need heavy drybrushing with different colors than the ones they have right now. And they have a lift off roof, very much a necessity when it comes to skirmish.

More vampire hunters! :) Another West Wind and a Citadel Witch Hunter, who fits in the gothic horror theme quite well, I think. These figs look much better in "real life", I don't know what I'm doing wrong :)

Not to worry, quite impressed as we're seeing them!

As for the houses, can never quite get the balance between supporting enthusiasm, and pain-in-the-neck pushy.  :-[

Have a bit of PMC, but all river craft. Nicely cheap-and-cheerful, but even the ready made requires some effort before use. Fortunately, any such invested tends to be rewarded, and the more the better!
