Does anyone make ROA or RONA models?
« on: July 07, 2012, 12:17:32 PM »
As the subject mentions, I'm wondering if anyone makes specific ROA or RONA miniatures, or do people mostly use German and Red Army miniatures to stand in for them? Specifically I'd be looking for these in 1:48/28mm scale, or in the neighbourhood.

Too little difference in uniform, to make special figurines.

It is strange to see the ROA soldiers - in caps, "papaha" period of WWI. Such caps could only be the Cossacks in German service. That subject to the conversion of the Cossacks:

Differences from the Soviet or German uniforms are minimal.
Here are digitized Russian book on Russian formations in German service:

I got the inspiration from this picture:

But maybe the Kaminski label is wrong ???

It's Cossacks.
Although a small "Papaha" sometimes worn could the Russian troops (and the ROA, too) instead of the winter cap with earflaps (ushanka).
So you figure - dismounted Cossacks  ;)
