Eureka 28mm Dark Ages 'sampler' pictures
« on: July 17, 2012, 04:36:41 AM »
Hi all, just saw this update to Eureka's website:

Quote
As previously announced, Alan Marsh has made "Sampler" 28mm Dark Age figures for us. Here are some pictures of them as painted by Kosta Heristanidis. More images will follow when we have chance to photograph the rest.

Which sounds pretty good to me!

Interesting that it is just a "sampler"? Wonder how much more to come as manufacturers jump on to the Dark Ages bandwagon? Don't get me wrong, I am happy to see more of it.  :P
Cheers,

Well Nic has said that they will build upon the ones that sell. These are in addition to the Beowulf range of figures which now have doubles- action and static poses for each mini. I hope they do sell well and they make some army buidler figures, they really are delightful minis. Dark Ages isn't really my bag but I bought a selection and a copy of Saga on impulse.

Hmmm. They look rather erm... old school. Static they certainly are...
Still, I suppose they are just samples. Maybe some more interesting variants will emerge if a range is commissioned.
I guess for the Australian market, gamers may prefer to buy local. But given the huge ranges of excellent vikings et al from Foundry, Gripping Beast, Crusader and so on, it does seem odd when someone else throws their hat into the ring this late in the day...
Ah well, the market will decide no doubt  :)

Well, this manufacturer has jumprd on already - and I'm mainly sci-fi - http://spacevixensfrommars.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=30 has our 'Arthurian' range.  Gary M SVfM
