good stuff. I remeber on my visit to the vatican I laughed at the outlandish garb of the Swiss Guards, it's hard to beleive that behind those bright colourful pantaloons they're trained proffesionals.

Thanks, the general is a Foundry, the standard bearer is a GW and the swordman is a modified Front rank (with a GW head...).

Hi, here is my first unit of "Lanze spezzate" (light horsemen), always for my papal army :

Figures are Foundry on Perry's horses, and one Mirliton.

great work! Love the paintjob and the whole idea. Especially being the Italian wars one of my favourite historical event. :)
I'm curious to see Giovanni dalle Bande Nere...that man was a great commander and fighter, one of the best mercenary leader ever IMO!
Keep going and thanks for sharing. :)
Oh, and welcome aboard!  8)

cheers

Grazie per il tuo commento, Faber. Sono di origine Lombarda (mio nonno), quindi ho un interesse speciale per le guerre d'Italia ! Giovanni arriverà fra poco...

Thank you for your comments, Faber. My grand-father was born in Lombardy, so Italian wars are one of my favourites periods too ! Giovanni dalle bande nere will come soon...
