holding an SLR by the magazine isn't a very comfortable, natural or practical pose in terms of weight distribution and balance. Not a great idea if you intend to hit anything.

Who says he's going to fire in that position?  He could be changing the mag in which case it's spot on.  Lovely figure.

Oh wait it's 7TV, they never run out of ammo.  I take that back - lousy pose   :D

The M3 'Grease Gun' has a magazine receiver shaped like a grip, holding it by the barrel is not recommended. The Sten and Sterling both have a sleeve over the barrel and smaller receivers. Regardless though, the TV and Hollywood style is to hold any sub-machine gun by its magazine... it's like a rule or something.

Well if they do Sterlings, not Stens, they should be held in the proper James Bond movie pose.

At least that's only the kneeling pose, which I don't want anyway!

There's a possible conflict here for minions armed with Stens or Sterlings.  In real life, you don't hold them by the magazine.  In the movies and on TV, everyone holds them by the magazine.  So what should a 7TV crew do?

ps no stens
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

These are excellent.  Now please do some all female minions in spandex like in the bottom left of this picture (but without headresses).   My villains need hot minions.

This is my boomstick!
