Generic Rocky terrain set
« on: July 18, 2012, 07:34:57 PM »
finished today, inspired pretty much entirely by a picture Mattblackgod posted of his terrain a while back.

made of nothing but cork, card, some other stuff, and chutzpah. And handily, they all fit into a shoebox:

More waffle and more pics on the blog:

Pretty, and play-friendly.

A very good job.

And lots of interesting articles at your blog too!

Thanks for sharing.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Nicely done.
You can't have too much terrain.

I'm planning on making some themed bits of scatter terrain to tie the generic terrain set in to particular games, like some Covenant casualties for Halo games, and a ridiculously overblown skull rock for GW gaming...

Have you thought about taking the OOP citadel paints to a hardware store and paint matching them? I want to build some terrain for 40K and I would like to match my mini's bases as well. Thanks for the tutorial I will definately give this a go.  :)

At the minute my local art shop still has the old range of paints (unfortunately for them they started stocking GW about a fortnight before they changed the paint range over), I really need to nip down and stock up...

Are you sure it's unfortunate? My guess is most of the gamers in SE England are now rushing there...

Nice terrain, and gorgeous minis too!
