This is an amazing project;  I'm pleased to see you're still making progress on it.

Looking great so far. ;D

May I suggest some fine sand paper to take some of the roughness off the render?

Yes, some sanding of the walls is planned, as well as cleaning up the window frame edges and the stairs.

Right, so that WIP building form the previous page sat unloved in a box for some time now and I finally got it out this weekend to work some more on it. It's far from done, but at least it's progress. The spackling has been sanded, plastic railings have been added to the first floor balcony and the roof tile sheets have been glued in place. I have now started the tedious job of filling the unseemly gaps between the walls and roof tiles. Many mistakes were made and I will do some things differently next time. I also forgot to cut out a hole for chimneys in the roof tiles, so I'll have to pin the chimney stacks in place over the tiles and fill the gap with putty.

Loads to do, but it's a few steps closer from last time.

I initially planned to extend the roof over the balcony, but it was fiddly enough as it is and this way it will be easier to add and remove figures.

That looks most impressive so far.
Most inspirational, as it makes me want to build something.

Me too, I haven't added any adobe dwellings to my collection for years!

Great build, looking forward to seeing more of it in due course. ;D

I can't take much credit for the design. It's literally a blend of the (Marx?) building in the b&w image used as a backdrop with my figures and the excellent (but unavailable) 1/32 Barzso hacienda.

That is a very nice building; the spackling on the wall is going to look great with some paint and weathering.

Thanks for the encouragements. I hope I'll be able to work more on it over the weekend.
