Hey All,

Bit of an odd one. Anyone know what game these miniatures are based for? I think it looks rather nice.

Possibly based for Peter Pig's PBI - usually PBI are on square bases, but generally you get 3 figures to a stand, and some players/clubs vary things anyway.
Locally we use 3 figures per base for standard troops (rifle or smg), 2 per base for specialists (heavy weapons or platoon command), 1 per base for snopers or medics.
The rules accept people using almost any basing convention so long as both players know what's what and stay consistent.
Some players use Flames of War based figures for PBI.

Its not a game that I have played before, anyone got a short review of it?

I'm looking for a new ww2 rule-set to play rather than FoW.

Look down under number 7 "Quick Start".

We use them at our school club for a few reasons.
1. They are affordable, no supplements or army lists to buy.
2. You can use any figures so long as they are based as rifles, heavy weapons, or command groups.
3. They work in a small area - 4' x 4' table, we only have a small classroom usually.
4. The rules work on a squared board. No arguments about measurement (always useful with teenagers), easy to see who is in cover etc.
5. The rules are fairly easy and playable.

The boys haven't done another epic like that recently, although we are still working on terrain for Stalingrad (20? tables 4' x 4', we have about 15 ready).
