Questions on the Robogear Thunder
« on: July 23, 2012, 08:06:28 PM »
Hey guys

Just wondering if I can pick the collective LAF brain about the components of the Thunder aircraft for Robogear. I won one on eBay last week; it's here now and I think there are bits missing. Seems to be more holes than pegs, for a start.

Here's the photo from the auction- note that it's a top and bottom view picture of the same sprue. Should there be more stuff? Maybe an additional sprue? The auction did say that it was from a multipack, which I assume means the starter set.

Well, I don't know or own the model but, there's an introduction on youtube : http://youtu.be/epr3H6V4mW4 FFWD to 21:40
It doesn't look like a complicated model so I'd guess you got all the pieces.

Your kit looks complete apart from the pilot. He would be on a separate sprue.

Thanks guys! I managed to work out how to put it together on my own! I've just had a really long day and my brain wasn't quite hitting on all six. Cheers for the advice and the link though! I might as well put this thread to good use and get some pics up when it's done. It's a cute little flyer.

Edit- WIP shot

I'm going to add the cockpit frames once it's all painted. The rotary cannon is from the Grey Knights terminator sprue and covers the hole left by the pilot's seat, which had to be left out so the space marine speeder pilot could fit in.

Remember that the main crew modules are also used in walkers so there will be other connection points not used for the flyer that are used for the walkers if you know what I mean.

Cheers Commander. Yeah, the extra holes were one of the things that threw me off a little at first. Hopefully getting it primed tomorrow!

This thread has reminded me there's a parcel waiting in my desk to be shipped (to Inso). Will do it in a couple of days. Promise.
