Hello all,

Thank you for all the great comments. Tom and I put a lot of work into the display and were pretty chuffed to pick up the Best display for this year's open day.

The pictures already added show the game off well but I thought I'd add a few more showing some of the other stuff we put on the table.

Prussian Gunners on "Big Bertha" scan the sky for targets over the barrels of their maxim guns.

A dinosaur Stampede mid way through the battle caused panic in the ranks of the German Askari

The jungles of Venus are not a safe place even for the local inhabitants. A pack of ravenous velociraptors ambush a troop of parrotmen riders.

Hounds squashed by a stampeding dinosaur

The Parrotmen ground forces advance through the jungle

The Banshee and Tarock sweep round the islands to attack one of the "Little Kaiser" zeppelins.

They attack with close range musket fire and incendiary molotov cocktails and are met with close range gatling guns! The flying creatures suffer badly at the hands of modern weaponry!

The Prussian Flotilla versus the Parrotmen flying horde

A small contingent of British supported the Parrotmen forces having already negotiated a favourable treaty to obtain some of the precious unobtanium. The aeronef HMES Hermes engaged the Prussian flotilla but was out gunned and out numbered and was forced to retire after losing most of the crew.

We are planning on expanding this game in future and run it at next year's Little War's event in Melbourne.

On the list to build include:

More Parrotmen Banshee Flyers
More Parrotmen Riders
A Parrotment battle Skiff (Imagine Jabba the Hut's barge in Return of the Jedi but with sails)
A larger flying British Ironclad
Another floating island with Parrotmen village.

Bye for now

Cheers
Fuzzy  :)
Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Stunning!
Absolutely amazing looking game.

Everything on the table is first class.

Love what you have done with the various GW kits.
A much better use of them, I reckon!

Super set-up Fuzzy.

Your latest Prussian aeroneff fleet deserves a thread of its own. Really outstanding looking ships!  :-*

The floating islands came out really well.  :o  I think the Parrotpeople need some sort of "artillery" parked on top of them to help balance things out a bit... also could require Prussian marines to assault.

Like your take on the wild life of Venus. Random attacks and events is what I would expect.

Overall, it is one of the most novel VSF setups I have seen in quite some time. I'm really looking forward to see where you go with this and hope you will keep us all posted.

Very... Very... Cool.  :-*

WOW! That was a beautiful looking game. The Prussian nefs look great, and although "unconventional" they look right. I'll be stealing some ideas. And the Parrotmen flyers.....  :-* Worth making a trip to Australia for the next game!

"Gawd, Evans! Get a mop!"

Deserve a thread, yes; post to Aero-sticky, required!

I've seen posts on some of the particulars, though I don't recall these particular Parrotmen. The quills really remind me of Native American headdress. First rate!

Strangely enough, the 'hounds' caught my attention, were they described before? Heroscape-derived?

But the nefs...

How many flyers did the parrotmen have?
More pictures of them please.
The prussian Aeronefs are great pieces as well. Some lovely details :-* :-* :-* :-*
