Definitely an open cockpit. Also thinking I might cut out the back bit and put a motor in there, now that I see it mostly assembled I think it needs it.

By the way, does anyone have a scale comparison pic for these guys? Eureka Musorians, I've looked but can't find a good one. (by 'good' I mean one with them next to a figure from a brand I am familiar with, I found a pic on this board of them but it doesnt really help me)

The musorians are really pretty small - not sure of a good comparison picture, but from what I can recall they are dwarfed by Paul hicks style 'True 28mm' figures, so they'll probably be too small compared to the defiance Marines

I took some pictures this morning.

Reaper Chronoscope, Eureka, Victory Force, Defiance

Reaper, Eureka, Defiance, Victory Force x2, Eureka, Defiance

The Eureka minis are standing on their bases and washers inside a Slotta-base, which raises them up to about the same height as the other miniatures. I was surprised how well the Defiance minis match the size of the Victory Force German troopers I use for the standard Cobra troops.

Hope this helps.

Thanks You just solved one of my problems, I have been wondering how those Victory German figures would scale.

also check out Pig Iron heads section they have something close to Crimson Guard style helmet.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Thanks for the pic, musorians definitely out of consideration. Hopefully the Bolt Action plastics will work out :)

Going through the pig iron heads now, at least one set I want, thanks.

I haven't gone hands on with them, but Wargames Factory has a line of plastic US WW2 GI's as well.  Let me see if I can find the sprue...

Perhaps some mix/match possibilities with the Bolt Action fellas.  They have Germans too depending on the uniforms/parts you're looking for.

Ooh, great ideas you've got here, I can't wait to see how the project develops. Your first painted figures look very good, keep it up! Were you going to do Destro, Dr. Mindbender, and the B.A.T.S?

This is it... this is my next project o_o o_o ;D

Seriously, some nice ideas here, but I can already see some scale issues (the comparison pics notwithstanding). Those Eureka figures mentioned are actually from the Kriegspiel sub-range, smaller even than Eureka's other 28mm Moderns... which could be a good source for a 28mm Duke figure.

I used to play with GI Joes when I was a kid. Right, not the most original childhood memoir but I attribute my fascination with toy soldiers to those poseable action figures.

Watching this with interest!  :-* :-* :-*

Chaos Wolf: My plan for the BATS was defiance marines with a head swap, and bionic arms from Blight Wheel, which I have lying around already. May swap their legs though. Destro is going to be made from a Forgeworld Death Korp leader type, and so are his personal troops. I really dont know what to do about Mindbender yet...

Havent had much time this week, but I did pick up the plumbing connector bit I want to use as the base for a Battle Ball, and had two more ideas for vehicles but I'll leave it till I have more time to post, in short; ones a 1:48 Merkava tank cut shorter, and the others an 1:35 Greyhound with multiple turrets.

Got weapon swaps and base colours done on two more vipers, and painted up a Bolt Action Commando as the first of my blueshirts. It is a bit obvious all three figure lines are in different scales but....meh close enough. I'm thinking I may be able to press mold the cobra style helmets, but I'm going to need to find a cheap source of AK-47s, any ideas?
In the second theres figures I just saw and picked up on Saturday, a star wars something that might become a dreadnok (Stormrider or something, I cant remember, hes new), and a figure that might become the Baroness after I chop off her friend. I'm not sure on the scale for them (scales going to be big hassle for this it seems) so I put in the other figures so far to see what people think.

As for the Baroness, you can always try to find the female Krav Maga agent from the original Heroscape box:

Just add some more hair and repaint it. And now a gratuitous shot of Sienna Miller as the Baroness:

(I swear it appeared on the same thread where I found the picture of the agent. I swear!)

Those Heroscape figures are enormous, though.
Back from the dead, almost.
