Figures like the hungarian vampire slayers?
« on: July 30, 2012, 09:57:05 AM »
I'm planning to beef up my warband with figures LIKE the West Wind hungarian vampire slayers (which I already own)

I have found these boyars by Trent miniatures (only the 1st and the 5th chap is usable IMHO)

but I need more... minis with an eastern european, XIXth century, bit of a nobleman look. Any ideas?

Check out the Assault Group Renaissance range, particularly the Russians, Poles and Ottomans

I'm using the Foundry cossacks, as has already been suggested; may possibly try to track down some dismounted Napoleonic  Hussars (not sure if any are actually available, possible as aides/vignette pieces?) to add to them and/or use some of the North Star 1866 Austro-Hungarian officers...

Maybe the Warmachine Kossites may be of use?

excellent suggestion! while browsing the Warmachine site I've also found Greylord Ternion, also a suitable model, it's just his axe is waaay too cartoony-big (that's not a sexual innuendo I swear!)
