Huge Military Historical Fair 2013

The annual wargames convention in Adelaide has changed its name from Bugle Call to 'DRUM ROLL'. Technical reasons I wont go into.

But in 2013 it will be combining to become part of a huge military historical fair to be held at OLD REYNELLA, just to the south of Adelaide over the weekend of 9th and 10th of March. Reenactors will parade through the town with historical vehicles and the community will also be involved. Wineries and local companies are involved. Funding from the State and Local government will make this a very large event.

The wargames convention itself will feature the battle of Leipzig 1813 in one large sub hall of the main venue and the old post office will also be available for the convention to expand out from the Community Hall.

On the night of the 9th there will be a dress up dinner at the ST.FRANCIS winery in costume of the 1813 period. The availability of hire is being covered for those who dont have a uniform. The Ambassadors of the countries involved in the battle have been invited as guests to take the salute at the parade and for the dinner.

Because there is funding available reenactors who wish to attend can be assisted with the cost of the use of black powder and transport of equipment. There is a free campsite but for those with more comfort in mind there will be an accomodation deal available. The area abounds with scenic sites and things to do, so those with families can make it a family weekend away.

Clubs or groups wishing to put on a demonstration wargame can also contact me as there will be some funds available to assist with transporting scenery etc from other states and country areas.
