I'll post up more pics once i get more built,

@jollybob, i'm away for a few days but will take a shot of
The shoulder patch when i'm home, should be monday/tuesday
Next week,

I have to ask, did you paint by eye or did you sketch it out on a pencil or lightly with a paint brush first?

hi Styx,

i paint it on with slightly thinned black paint, just starting with a simple black 'v' in the middle, then it's really just a series of thin straight lines and a beak.

once the design looks right it gets a second coat to darken it up. any mistakes are then overpainted in white to tidy them up.

hope that helps

Painting eyes is my biggest trouble. Most of my models don't have pupils... :S

I usually do a fair job, then some turn out like Jap Anime characters with large round eyes and huge pupils!

If you want to make eyes easily, try using a Micron pen to put the pupils in instead of a brush.  Much easier!

I keep hearing this idea but I never get over to the pens to buy them at the hobby store....I hear a .05 or something is good...
