Dr Amos Pollard - Alamo Defender
« on: August 12, 2012, 11:03:06 AM »
Dr Amos Pollard practiced medicine in New York city until 1831 when his wife died. He subsequently went to Texas and became involved in the revolution fighting at Gonzales, the seige of Bejar and finally at the Alamo.

He is seen here ramming the last shot down the barrel of his kentucky rifle. He died in the makeshift hospital in the Alamo long barracks, close to the wounded and sick men he had been treating.

Thsi is a Boot Hill Miniatures Texian with another head swap from the Texian head pack. A small conversion with a bit of green stuff for his shirt collar and tie. I am really pleased with the way the separate heads pack is changing the look of some of these figures all sculpted by the very talented Matthew Bickley.

Very nice!

That is a very characterful face on that fella.
Well worth looking at the extra heads for any conversions planned for periods within a century either side of the Alamo.

Is bueno senor

Top job, does this mean I'm redundant?   ;)

The Long Rifle looks great  8)

Are you making the character's background story up or is it true?

Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

He,he, no your future employment is secure. (For the time being anyway) ;)

All the background stories are true (according to that expensive book what that Phil Collins bloke wrote.)  :)

Has a little look of the dashing Peter O'Toole about him.
