Gorilla Force Go! Now with crocs.
« on: February 27, 2008, 02:57:04 AM »
I've done these guys up for the preview game of the new dinohunting expansion that Rattrap is holding at Cold Wars. Well, not just for that, but it's what got me to finish them. I wanted something different than what everyone else was likely to bring. :)

Still working on taking good pictures, but these should be pretty good.

Group photo:

The leader Kor-Gor:

Fiendish Girallon:Wardrums:D&D Minis:Wizards of the Coast

Gorilla Shaman (no name yet):

Stormrider Shaman:Anvilborn:Dreamblade:Wizards of the Coast

The boys:

Taer:Aberrations:D&D Minis:Wizards of the Coast

I'll likely just use one of the small guys on the team, and the shaman's thunderbolt is going to be classed as a raygun. I'll probably put the stats up in the next day or so.

Hope you like them.

Forgot the crocs: (you can see where I forgot to fill in where it was attached to the base)

Visejaw Crocodile:Desert of Despair:D&D Minis: Wizards of the Coast

They're like 15 to 20 footers in 28mm.

Jibbery style oinkery which don't make no damn sense.

Nicely done!

The shaman looks like he's holding a frozen spill of Gatorade, and it's made him cross. "Whooooo spilled my Gatorade in the freezer! This stuff won't be invented for years! I was saving it for a special occasion! God, I'm so mad, I could hit someone with a stone axe!"

Oooh! Someone bringing their own team and very creative! I may have to come up with an award just for that!

Nicely done.

Thanks for the comments.

"The shaman looks like he's holding a frozen spill of Gatorade, and it's made him cross."

Heh, I suppose a more demented modeler could pose the bit so it looks like a stream of urine. But that would be excessively rude. :)

"The crocodiles look really good."

To me it's kinda funny that when I first saw the crocs people were saying they were horrible sculpts. I think it was because the original paint job was flat grey with red details and they had no imagination. :)

I picked up a couple of those crocs at a game store for $1.00 each, when the clerk told me she would get out the cards for me so I could use them I just smiled and said " I don't need not steeenking cards...."

They ought to look damn good all painted up, they are nice sculpts

Very very impressive. I've been looking at some of those minis for a bloodbowl team I'm working on (Lizardmen rules with Ape/monkey figs) And will definitely be tracking some down.

Don't forget to look for the Gorilla Grod and Monsieur Malla DC heroclix figs. Those would work well too, though they're more human like than most of these.
