Hi Dominic,

Iam going to paint British and Pathans for the North West Frontier. I wanna play it with my own Rules and The Sword and The Flame.

I have Pathans from old Glory and Foundry and British from Redoubt, Foundry and Old Glory for that Project. The Old Glory are a bit Old Fashioned Minis. but there Pathan Tribesman with Jezail are great.

Thanks for the tips guys!  Looks like NW Frontier figs can only be obtained from a small number of companies.

@Bjoern - you are interested in TSATF?  I am painting a British Sudan army!  I was also thinking of doing up some Pathans to match my Copplestone Brits in Back of Beyond games.

Sudan is also fine with me Dominic.
I have Sudanese Warriors of all kinds here. Also some British.
For years Iam looking for someone who is going with me the Sword and the Flame adventure. I hate to play alone  :) Together we could make great games. Iam sure about that.

Maybe we can work towards our next wargame weekend (Rheindahlen perhaps?) The guys at Rheindahlen have not replied to my email yet about whether their Action Convention will still be held next year.

My latest info concerning the Action show in Rheindahlen is that it will most definitely NOT happen in 2007. I emailed one of the officials from the show and he told me that nearly everybody organising Action is currently in Afghanistan. Even if they will be back around end of year, time will probably a problem.

That was the reason why we at THS decided to attend the Tactica show in Hamburg instead and present our Peking game.

Thanks Admiral Benbow. i thought something like that. After last Action I heart some rumours that there will be no show in 2007. But maybe things will
change .
There is some time left.

Cheers

I have about the same mix. I also use DA Baluchis. I find the  Foundry Hill Tribes minis the best. I do however think Old Glory has a worse reputation than they deserve. They have, IMO, the same character as West Wind and some quite interesting poses.

I have several Castaway Arts mionis but I am not entirely happy with them heads, weapons and details can be very good or even great but arms and torsos often look like they've been bent to shape with pliers.

I have also made conversions of Brigade Games WWI Arab insurrection minis (horse and camel) which are "soon in a theater near you".
