I use Foundry Afghans and Baluchi.
Askari Miniatures do Pathans but I've never seen them in the flesh....

Askari miniatures has 28mm central Asians.  As far as I know they are the only company doing 28mm Bokharans and Turcomans, etc.  I'll see if I can find a URL.

Here we go:  http://www.askari-minis.com/webstore/index.php?cPath=37&osCsid=vr6pe5v0dmp0kghs9h4o2c8j66

Also quite a few Pathans there.

Maybe Alex should limit the "Related Post"-plugin to half a year ::)

There's no real harm in it. But I do find it both funny and puzzling when folks respond to a query that is so old no one could possibly be waiting with baited breath for an answer. I mean, Dom doesn't even come here any more. I hardly think he'll have been sitting around on his arse for four years waiting for some more answers.  lol  But just to be clear, it isn't breaking forum rules and while funny doesn't hurt anybody.

And the time tunnel thing is from an old TV show called The Time Tunnel. I just posted it because it seemed like some of our members had fallen into one.  :)

Hammers,

I have been looking at Old glory 25s for a while now. How do they compare size wise to foundry (28mm) and other ranges?

Cheers

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Insignificantly different. As said, they differ primarily in style.

"odd scale for fishing sinkers"

This is a way to say that the figures are very bad.

"Fishing Sinkers" are the weights a fisherman attaches to his line to keep the hook or lure underwater.  In the past they were made of cast white metal, long ago were lead.

Therefore comparing a metal mini to a 'fishing sinker' means that it is so badly done that you should tie it to your fishing line instead of painting it for the table.
